CAE Analysis Services

CAE Analysis Services

At AAC we fully embrace Computer Aided Engineering(CAE). Today's powerful computers and software have given us new tools which we can use to design and analyze parts and structures. We are able to pinpoint specific points of failure or points for improvement and optimization.

Finite Element Analysis

There are many different forces that may act on your part. Its structure and the materials it is made from will determine how it holds up to these forces. Finite Element Analysis is the process of taking a part and digitizing it. Everything about it is Analyzed by the computer and different forces can be simulated including vibration, heat, mechanical motion, electrostatics and more. It is essential before going to manufacturing, or committing a part into service that all possible scenarios have been tested. With proper testing and analysis not only can disaster be avoided, but there is also opportunity for optimization and cost savings.

Data Acquisition

When reliability is paramount, it is essential to get out ahead of any possible problem. Using the best equipment, software, and methods, AAC engineers can gather data on a wide variety of engineered structures and parts. Once we have gathered the data, we use the latest in computer technology to analyze your project in order to understand its limits, predict failure scenarios and locations, and develop a plan to maintain reliability and extend its lifespan.
Through testing and analysis We can develop specs for your part or structure and make sure that it meets and exceeds any load or lifespan requirements. Using both real world tests and computer driven physical simulations we can make recommendations on materials and design in order to minimize costs, without sacrificing reliability.

Noise Spectrum Analysis

We use our data acquisition tools to gather information on mechanically induced vibrations within a system. This coupled with modal analysis (by which we identify the natural frequencies of an actual assembly), allow us to ‘tune’ a system (structure, operation, etc.) to minmimize the impact of harmonic instability, which is caused when the driving vibration frequency matches the natural frequency of a system.
